🔢 Lesson: Type Numbers 1 to 0
Practice the complete number row from 1 through 0. These 4 exercises combine all ten number-row keys to build accurate typing muscle memory.
How to Type Numbers 1 to 0 Correctly
On a standard QWERTY keyboard, 1 is typed with your left pinky finger, 2 with your left ring finger, 3 with your left middle finger, 4 and 5 with your left index finger, 6 and 7 with your right index finger, 8 with your right middle finger, 9 with your right ring finger, and 0 with your right pinky finger.
These four progressive exercises help you move across the complete number row while developing accurate number-row muscle memory. Focus on accuracy first and avoid looking down at the keyboard.
Your left pinky types 1, left ring finger types 2, left middle finger types 3, left index finger types 4 and 5, right index finger types 6 and 7, right middle finger types 8, right ring finger types 9, and right pinky finger types 0.
Keep both hands relaxed on the home row. Reach upward for each number with the correct finger, focusing on clean and accurate keystrokes before trying to type faster.
