How to Type the Number 2 Correctly
The number 2 is typed with your left ring finger. Keep your left hand positioned on the home row and move only your ring finger upward to reach the 2 key.
This lesson uses four short drills — a single tap, a double tap, a triple tap, and a building rhythm from one to five numbers — to help your ring finger learn the correct distance and movement without looking down at the keyboard.
Your left ring finger. Reach upward from the S key to press 2, then return your finger to the home row.
The 2 key is on the top number row, directly above the W key and near the S area of a standard QWERTY keyboard.
