About the Australia typing test
Type your way from Sydney Harbour to Uluru and the Great Barrier Reef, with words about Aboriginal history, the Anzacs, Federation and the wildlife and food Australians know well. A solid WPM check for study, work or fun.
Words in this test come from Australia: places such as Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane; history including Aboriginal, Dreamtime and Cook; and everyday things like kangaroo, koala and wombat. They are mixed with common English words, so every round is different. When time is up, enter your name and your certificate is issued with the Australia flag, your net WPM, accuracy and proficiency level.

How your score is calculated
Every result follows the standard typing-test formulas, and the same numbers are printed on your certificate.
| Gross WPM | (characters typed ÷ 5) ÷ minutes |
| Net WPM | Gross WPM − (incorrect words ÷ minutes) |
| Accuracy | (keystrokes − incorrect keystrokes) ÷ keystrokes |
A character is any letter, number, punctuation mark or space you type; five characters count as one standard word. A word is incorrect if it does not match the passage exactly, including capital letters and punctuation. A mistake you correct with Backspace still counts against accuracy. Pasting is disabled, and the timer starts at your first keystroke and ends at exactly the test duration.
