About the Austria typing test
Vienna, Salzburg and the Tyrolean Alps, the Habsburgs, Mozart and Maria Theresa. Strudel, schnitzel and coffeehouse culture bring Austrian flavour to every round.
Words in this test come from Austria: places such as Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck; history including Habsburg, Empire and Maria; and everyday things like schnitzel, strudel and sachertorte. They are mixed with common English words, so every round is different. When time is up, enter your name and your certificate is issued with the Austria flag, your net WPM, accuracy and proficiency level.

How your score is calculated
Every result follows the standard typing-test formulas, and the same numbers are printed on your certificate.
| Gross WPM | (characters typed ÷ 5) ÷ minutes |
| Net WPM | Gross WPM − (incorrect words ÷ minutes) |
| Accuracy | (keystrokes − incorrect keystrokes) ÷ keystrokes |
A character is any letter, number, punctuation mark or space you type; five characters count as one standard word. A word is incorrect if it does not match the passage exactly, including capital letters and punctuation. A mistake you correct with Backspace still counts against accuracy. Pasting is disabled, and the timer starts at your first keystroke and ends at exactly the test duration.
