About the Malta typing test
Type your way through Malta: Valletta, Mdina and Sliema, history from Knights to Hospitaller, and everyday things such as pastizzi and rabbit. Check your WPM with Malta words and download a certificate with the Malta flag.
Words in this test come from Malta: places such as Valletta, Mdina and Sliema; history including Knights, Hospitaller and Phoenicians; and everyday things like pastizzi, rabbit and fenkata. They are mixed with common English words, so every round is different. When time is up, enter your name and your certificate is issued with the Malta flag, your net WPM, accuracy and proficiency level.

How your score is calculated
Every result follows the standard typing-test formulas, and the same numbers are printed on your certificate.
| Gross WPM | (characters typed ÷ 5) ÷ minutes |
| Net WPM | Gross WPM − (incorrect words ÷ minutes) |
| Accuracy | (keystrokes − incorrect keystrokes) ÷ keystrokes |
A character is any letter, number, punctuation mark or space you type; five characters count as one standard word. A word is incorrect if it does not match the passage exactly, including capital letters and punctuation. A mistake you correct with Backspace still counts against accuracy. Pasting is disabled, and the timer starts at your first keystroke and ends at exactly the test duration.
